Dufte wars! Stream war voll, viele Tanzende vor Ort im Stattbad Wedding Foyer hatten ordentlich viel Spaß. Von ca 17:30 bis 1 Uhr nachts ging es. Musikalisch drehte sich alles um Sounds zwischen Nu Disco, Boogie, UK Stuff, House und der sich gerade heranpirschende Hype: Slow-House! DJ XIng heizte an, Till von Sein wiegte uns sanft discoid – und Chopstick und Johnjon brachten euch den derzeitigen Slow-House Labelsound von Suol. Viel Spaß beim Hören und Schauen der Sendung. Here is a mix I recorded just for fun last weekend. It's a house selection, ranging from 1980s acid house to todays variations of raw, oldschooly tech-house. Basically, some of my favourite house tunes put into one mix. I was shopping vinyl a lot on discogs recently and here is my prey. Catch me on my gigs to listen to this stuff on big soundsystems. This is what I am pretty much into right now, but as I am extenting my record collection my music taste changes roughly every 3 months So much good music out there to be explored and re-explored! Ja, was soll ich sagen? Wunderbar! Toll wars. Dank euch und Upon You. Hatte zuerst die Befürchtung, dass durchs Exil in der Öffentlichkeit das persönliche Flair der Sendung verloren geht, so wie ich es im heimischen Wohnzimmer genieße. Aber dem war nicht so: Die Kombi aus Web-Stream und tanzender Meute auf einen Dienstag Abend war äußerst angenehm, wir werden  sowas auch in Zukunft mal ausm Stattbad machen. Viel Spaß mit Video als auch Audio der Sendung: Insgesamt sind es 7h geworden, haben in wenig überzogen … Es spielten: Marco Resmann back 2 back Emerson Todd, Ruede Hagelstein und Fresh Meat zur Upon You Label Show beim Berlin Mitte Institut für Bessere Elektronische Musik im Stattbad Wedding.

Fresh Meat – “Immer schön nach vorne” Techno DJ Mix September 2011

Hier eine Aufnahme meines DJ-Sets auf dem Ölfasslager-Floor im Ritter Butzke bei Delikat Möbelrücken vom 03.09.2011, playtime 4-6AM. Vor mir spielte Marco von Exercise One, nach mir Adam X. Gemischt mit hauptsächlich Vinyl und ergänzend CDs für den wahrlich innigen Auflegegenuss, musikalisch angesiedelt irgendwo zwischen 2004-2008 minimalem Techno, kurze Ausflüge in die Nuskoolbreaks und der ein oder anderen extravagenten Techhouse-Nummer. Hach, war das wieder schön. Drei Stunden tolle Musik und ein sehr spannendes Interview (über eine Stunde) mit Cinthie, Alle Farben und dem Veranstalter Andreas von Delikat Möbelrücken. Jetzt wissen wie definitiv mehr über die Karrieren, Ambitionen, Motive, Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede der Gäste. Und nicht zuletzt über den Anlass der Sendung: Den Local DJ. Sie spielen hervorragende Musik, sind geskillte und erfahrene DJs, haben eine “Posse” an Freunden die Freunde mitbringen (in die passenden Locations bzw. zu den passenden Partys …) und sind bekannt in der lokalen Szene. Sie sind außerdem günstiger als Headliner, die sich vor allem über Popularität und musikalische Veröffentlichungen zu definieren scheinen. Gleichzeitig scheint der Local DJ für viele eine Art Zwischenstation zu sein, um sich später über Veröffentlichungen auch national und international zu etablieren. Viele genießen aber auch einfach die Eigenschaften des Local-Daseins und erfreuen sich ihrer Gigs. – Wie gewohnt gibts bei uns alles in extrem guter Videoqualität, denn das ist und sehr wichtig . (Bessere Videoqualität war natürlich geplant, aber Livestream.com hat uns einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht.)

Berlin Mitte Institut DJ Team: Einmal quer durch den Gemüsegarten (Teststream-DJ-Mix-Set, 10.01.2011)

Das Berlin Mitte Institut DJ-Team (Kandel und Fresh Meat) waren nach längerer Zeit endlich mal wieder 4.5 Stunden lang live auf Sendung, und das ist der Mitschnitt davon. Sinn der Sendung war das Testen des neuen Streamlaptop, nachdem wir in den Sendungen zuvor häufiger Probleme hatten. Hat soweit alles funktioniert, nur kurz zwischendrin war der Livestream.com-Server kurzfristig nicht erreichbar. Von unserer Seite aus aber alles supi. Musikalisch ging es einmal quer durch den Gemüsegarten: Deep, Dub, House, Techno, Tech-House, Disco, intelligent, prollig, Breakbeat, Chillout, Karl-Marx-Beat, Milton-Friedman-Groove und Miniminiminimal-goaschranztechnoradieschen. Deep, dark, twisted and simply great: Dumb Unit was in the Berlin Mitte Institut house and brought the label head, dj and producer Jeremy P. Caulfield, Berlin based djs and producers Exercise One, Italian heart breaker Cesare vs. Disorder and New Yorker dj and producer Elon. We had 4 hours of groovy / doomy minimal techno sound, spiced up with trying to be informative interviews in between. Exercise One played a wickedy liveset, going more into twisted and hard techno. Great stuff! Check it out, tell your friends, book the Dumb Unit guys to your partys!

Es war eine sehr schöne Sendung – vielen Dank an alle, die zugehört haben. Leider ist der Shouted-Videoserver ausgefallen, sodass wir nur Audio übertragen konnten. Aber wir haben ein paar Videos auf Youtube hochgeladen, da könnt ihr euch nochmal ein Bild von der Sendung machen. Die letzte halbe Stunde habe ich an den Anfang kopiert, da dort 100Tons und Flamea schön aus dem "Nähkästchen" plaudern, sehr informativ und unterhaltsam. Viel Spaß beim Hören und Schauen! Very unfair, as we think: They are a very essential part: Warming-up, closing-down, organising the event, doing promotion, taking care of the booked artists etc.
