Many times I have been asked, if I could not re-upload one or the other older Berlin Mitte Institut show. I neither had the webspace, nor enough upload range to do that. But now ! Here it is. Enjoy all our shows since october 2006: Featuring labels like Bpitch Control, Mobilee, Minus, Highgrade, Get Physical, Upon You or Kassette with artists like Gaiser, Marco Resmann, Kiki, Ambivalent and many more. Here is a mix I recorded just for fun last weekend. It's a house selection, ranging from 1980s acid house to todays variations of raw, oldschooly tech-house. Basically, some of my favourite house tunes put into one mix. I was shopping vinyl a lot on discogs recently and here is my prey. Catch me on my gigs to listen to this stuff on big soundsystems. This is what I am pretty much into right now, but as I am extenting my record collection my music taste changes roughly every 3 months So much good music out there to be explored and re-explored! Hier eine Aufnahme meines DJ-Sets auf dem Ölfasslager-Floor im Ritter Butzke bei Delikat Möbelrücken vom 03.09.2011, playtime 4-6AM. Vor mir spielte Marco von Exercise One, nach mir Adam X. Gemischt mit hauptsächlich Vinyl und ergänzend CDs für den wahrlich innigen Auflegegenuss, musikalisch angesiedelt irgendwo zwischen 2004-2008 minimalem Techno, kurze Ausflüge in die Nuskoolbreaks und der ein oder anderen extravagenten Techhouse-Nummer. Das Berlin Mitte Institut DJ-Team (Kandel und Fresh Meat) waren nach längerer Zeit endlich mal wieder 4.5 Stunden lang live auf Sendung, und das ist der Mitschnitt davon. Sinn der Sendung war das Testen des neuen Streamlaptop, nachdem wir in den Sendungen zuvor häufiger Probleme hatten. Hat soweit alles funktioniert, nur kurz zwischendrin war der Livestream.com-Server kurzfristig nicht erreichbar. Von unserer Seite aus aber alles supi. Musikalisch ging es einmal quer durch den Gemüsegarten: Deep, Dub, House, Techno, Tech-House, Disco, intelligent, prollig, Breakbeat, Chillout, Karl-Marx-Beat, Milton-Friedman-Groove und Miniminiminimal-goaschranztechnoradieschen. Hello everybody, this is my DJ set from the 27th of October 2009 recorded @ Dienstagswelt im Exil @ Cassiopeia club in Berlin, mixed with vinyl only for the great DJ fun. My set time was 5 – 8.30 AM, so everything sounds a bit deeper but all the way groovy. Strictly Tech-House, one could say! It is very loud recorded, but qualitywise still enjoyable. After some years (or so) I finally managed to dj a new mix for you. I grabbed all my new records and made a selection from easy going House music to peak time club sound. And that’s the way I like a evening to start: I begin with groovy and rhythmic, but laid back and subtle tracks. Once a club is packed, I could actually go on with this sleazy laidbackness, cos it’s sexy. Crowd and promoters normally expect a progression, so there it is: Some juicy peak time Schieber, Easyjet ravers listening to this would say: “Oh my god, it’s so berliny”. Deep, but groovy House music with heavy basslines and only very few really “hands-up-moments”. Hope you guys enjoy it, I am btw. available for bookings here: CLICK.
