"Diskomafia is proud to announce Kandel’s “Familie Schroffenstein” EP, which tells the story of a weird family vacation full of surprises. The EP features 4 distinct dancefloor tracks that are bound to be loved by DJs for they tooly feel and by the partycrowd for their fun factor. The title track “Familie Schroffenstein” is an unusual piece of house music, where the main elements are a repetitive synthie melody mingled with pseudo-saxophone funkyness, both topping a wobbly bassline. “Im Nagetiermuseum” is an ode to the Berlin nightlife, featuring an acidic bass, flying cut & paste sounds and odd percussive elements that generate a driving dancefloorkiller. “Die Reise zum heiligen Berg” is the most ‘beautiful’ of the 4 tracks, it refers to a more ‘classic’ Detroit approach in a handcrafted analogue shell. Finally, “Die graue Herrin” is a mean straight functional and dirty techno track for dark moments." » More Information about this release and where to buy… » More releases by Kandel
